How to use free rtos ?

Hello
I am little bit confused I don’t have idea how to use free rtos for microcontroller. Before writing rtos program. I want to understand basic things means how to use free rtos source code I have seen there are many sample examples but I don’t understand how to use free rtos source code. Suppose I have cortex m0 microcontroller and LCD and if I want to develop rtos program how and where to start ??

I have read some of chapters as per my understanding I think free rtos is open source code so if I want to make rtos project I can use free rtos code so I have to arrange free rtos code according to my requirnment

FreeRTOS is an Open Source library, you are free to use and change it, as long as your code remains Open Source as well.
In case you want to use FreeRTOS in a commercial non-Open-Source project, that is OK, but you’ll need to purchase a license to use it that way.

Actually not so. FreeRTOS can be used for free in closed source
application. The linkage exception says you can distribute products
that use FreeRTOS ‘under the terms of your choice’, so the FreeRTOS
license does not affect the license of any other software in your
system, and does not impose any restrictions or requirements on how
products that use FreeRTOS are sold or distributed.
