How long the “long-term” is?
Does that mean that the “low power support”-section of the “mastering”-manual gets written? I, for one, have been waiting for a good description of tickless idle.

Hi @turboscrew,

Late last year we published a blog with our intent for our LTS releases to be maintained for at least 3 years. We will provide official guidance that will define LTS support timeline explicitly at a later date. You can read the blog referenced here: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/iot/long-term-support-for-amazon-freertos/.

For your question about the “mastering” manual getting updated or at least the docs for tickless idle, I will bring this up with the team to see about prioritization. We also encourage the community to submit contributions for documentation as well. Creating a thread in the kernel category and driving those discussions to create a well written document is something we welcome anyone to do.
