Hi,
I am new to freeRTOS (and RTOS in general). I have been watching many videos on YouTube but sometimes they are confusing and/or explain the concepts without real world examples.
I cannot find a clear full primer/course that goes from scratch to at least a medium level that allows me to full understand and learn all the concepts properly with real world examples.
Are there any either free or relatively low cost?

I would recommend taking a look at Introduction to RTOS video series by Shawn Hymel and Digi-Key video series first. This presents a lot of the basics that you need.
If you need very detailed and very understandable FreeRTOS course,
I would recommend Udemy: “Mastering RTOS: Hands on FreeRTOS and STM32Fx with Debugging”, created by Kiran Nayak.
It is one of the best embedded software courses I ever had.
