TI C674x DSP C6000 FreeRTOS porting

Hello,

We are looking into porting freeRTOS to the TI (Texas Instruments) C674x DSP C6000 (DSP on the OMAP-137). Does anyone have any information about a freeRTOS port that has been ported to this DSP? On the TI forum I saw that someone had done a port several years ago on a C674x DSP C6000 and posted it on this site.

Is there a way to find that port on this site even if it was done several years ago or has successfully done a FreeRTOS port on a TI DSP like on the OMAP-137 platform? see screenshot below. Thank you.

Hello, As follow up – Can FreeRTOS be ported and can it be run on the something like the DSP (C67x) of the OMAP137? Or is there a limitation on this type of DSP that would not allow another rtos like freeRTOS to run successfully on the DSP the way TI-RTOS did? Thank you again.

I am trying to find out if that is possible or not.

Given that someone was able to do it years before, I’d say that it should be possible. I do not have a first hand experience though.

Unfortulately we cannot access that artifact. However, reading these docs from TI, it seems that they have a FreeRTOS port for C66x, C7x CPUs. I’d recommend reaching out to TI to get this PDK.
