Sorry for the delay - all posts made two days ago went into moderation. That should not happen.
I’m afraid I am not familiar with what Simulink requires so cannot comment directly. The only time I have used Matlab auto-generated code it was only used to generate algorithms (filters and the like) with an API interface - that was then added to an existing project. It didn’t create the entire project.
Maybe somebody else here has greater experience.
