If you are using PIC24 only then I would recommend the ‘Standard’ edition. If you may use PIC32 in the future then you may also consider the ‘PIC32’ edition, although it contains some details about interrupt nesting that doesn’t apply to the PIC24 parts.

Regards.

thank you, in fact, in the future, i will probably work on PIC24 and PIC32.
actually, i know pic24 but only in a : while(1) {…} and interrupt mode.
I need to “start” with an os, i will use the freertos.
the practical guide seems to be (i’m note sure) like a tutoriel, this book will probably explain how to use , and help to understood an os.
so i hesitate, reading your message, it’s perhaps a good idea for me to read the pic32 edition because it’s microchip based.
but on the other hand perhaps the standard is more general and give perhaps more information.
probably you have the two edition.
if you will be me what edition will you choose ?

thank you

The standard edition is a subset of the PIC32 edition, so if you will use the PIC32 parts too I would suggest going for the PIC32 edition.
