The official Zynq demo targets the ZC702, and will be modified to build with the 2014.2 version of the SDK for the next FreeRTOS release.
I you want to use the 706 then use the new project wizard in the SDK to create a stand along project for you hardware, check the project runs, then add in the FreeRTOS source files using the official 706 project as a reference.
