i just wanted to ask whether the development tools available for Atmel AT91SAM7X are totally free of cost. i wanted it to use for my engineeering project to create a web server.

GCC is free - I use www.gnuarm.org distribution.

CrossWorks, Keil, IAR, etc. are not free.
