We are excited to announce the availability of the Extended Maintenance Plan for FreeRTOS. FreeRTOS Extended Maintenance Plan (EMP), provided through Amazon Web Services (AWS), allows embedded developers to receive critical bug fixes and security patches on their chosen FreeRTOS Long Term Support (LTS) version for up to 10 years beyond the expiry of the initial LTS period. FreeRTOS EMP applies to libraries covered by FreeRTOS LTS, so developers can continue using a version that provides feature stability, security patches, and critical bug fixes, without having to plan for a costly version upgrade and reduce risks associated with patching devices.
