Can AWS IoT_Secure_Sockets Connect to a none AWS backend?

Hi,
I have been messing around with aws freertos for some IoT projects and I haven’t connected to a backend that is not AWS with the sockets I was wondering if it is possible to connect to a backend that is not AWS

Yes - connections use standard TCP/IP, MQTT and TLS - nothing proprietary. There are examples that connect to other MQTT brokers too.
