# What version of the iar should be used within the V10.4.0 demo CORTEX\_M4F\_STM32F407ZG-SK

I and a beginner, When I used IAR of version 7.5 to compile, it generated many compile errors. Should I use some other version of IAR? Thank you very much!

I tried compiling using IAR 8.50.4. I did not get any error but I did get some warnings. I have addressed those warnings in this PR: [https://github.com/FreeRTOS/FreeRTOS/pull/287](https://github.com/FreeRTOS/FreeRTOS/pull/287)
