# Port to MSP430F169?

Hello!  
Has anyone ported the freeRTOS to a TI MSP430F169 sucessfully and would provide his modified files?  
The Port for the MSP430F149 is not directly usable because of the external oszillator, which is used on the EasyWeb-Demoboard.

What is different about this part that means it will not work with FreeRTOS?&nbsp; It has the same CPU core?

FreeRTOS uses a timer to generate the RTOS tick.&nbsp; If it does not have the same timer configuration then maybe you have to use a different timer?
